Bengaluru: Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India (QCIL) plan to invest ₹1,661 cr in Kerala and create nearly 7,900 additional jobs in a move which will boost the state’s healthcare capacity.

Following the integration of Aster and QCIL in March this year, the combined healthcare network will operate 11 hospitals in Kerala with 4,575 beds.

According to Aster, this will create one of the strongest healthcare networks in India and deliver comprehensive tertiary and quaternary care services.

It added that the group together plan to invest an additional ₹1,661 crore in the state to add 1,315 new beds over the coming years.

This will create nearly 7,900 additional jobs and add to Kerala’s healthcare capacity and economic growth.

Aster also plans to add 834 beds in the state, including the upcoming 454-bed Aster Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram to strengthen access to advanced healthcare services in South Kerala.

The announcement came after Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare met with Kerala Chief Minister, V.D. Satheesan.

“Kerala occupies a special place in Aster’s journey and continues to be one of our most strategic markets. The State has a unique advantage through its highly skilled doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, who are respected across India and around the world,” said Dr Moopen.
