The Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic), Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has started the round 1 counselling process for JEECUP 2026 from June 25, 2026. Eligible candidates can now participate in the counselling process and fill their preferred college and course choices through the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in.The counselling process is being conducted for admission to engineering and various diploma programmes offered by participating institutions across Uttar Pradesh. Who is eligible for JEECUP counselling 2026?
The following candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process:
- Uttar Pradesh residents who appeared for the UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2026 examination.
- Candidates from other states who passed their qualifying examination from an institution located in Uttar Pradesh.
- Children of Central Government employees serving in Uttar Pradesh.
Seat allotment and document verification
The round 1 seat allotment result will be announced on July 1, 2026. Candidates who receive a seat can choose either the “Freeze” option to confirm the allotted seat or the “Float” option to be considered for a better choice in subsequent rounds.Selected candidates will have to complete document verification at the designated district help centres between July 2 and July 5, 2026. Candidates who do not wish to continue with their allotted seat can apply for withdrawal on July 6, 2026.
