Adrian Dunbar confirms ‘Line of Duty 7’ filming halted
While speaking with RTE Radio 1, the famed actor explained that the Belfast riots were one of the main reasons filming for the upcoming season was halted. He shared, “We did have to pause for that, which… That wasn’t great,” while further adding that “There’s a lot of stuff being stirred up in Ireland, I think from outside of the country at the minute. And I think a lot of social media stirred a lot of pots here, and a lot of idle hands sitting around were able to get on the street.”Earlier in June, riots broke out in the Northern Irish capital after Stephen Ogilvie was stabbed, and a Sudanese national was arrested in relation to the matter. After the riots broke out, houses and cars were also set on fire.
About ‘Line of Duty’ Season 7
As for the upcoming ‘Line of Duty’ season 7, it has been confirmed that the series will have only 6 episodes. Jed Mercurio penned the entirety of the script for this season. Alongside Dunbar, Vicky McClure, and Martin Compston will also be returning for the 7th season. Filming and production for the show started back in March, with McClure posting about the script in an Instagram post, writing in the caption, “Season seven, we’re back. Here’s the script, want to have a look?”Filming for the series was halted in the middle of June.
