Among the four main industrial sectors, annual producer inflation reached 30.72 per cent in manufacturing, 35 per cent in water supply, and 6.88 per cent in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, TurkStat said in a press release.
Turkiye’s Domestic Producer Price Index rose 28.93 per cent YoY and 2.75 per cent MoM in May 2026, driven by higher manufacturing and energy costs.

Energy prices rose 31.45 per cent annually, while textile, apparel and leather sectors also recorded monthly price increases.
Within the main industrial groupings, energy prices recorded a 31.45 per cent annual increase, followed by durable consumer goods at 31.39 per cent and non-durable consumer goods at 31.05 per cent. Intermediate goods rose 27.76 per cent, while capital goods increased 23.73 per cent.
On a monthly basis, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning registered the sharpest increase at 12.04 per cent. Mining and quarrying rose 2.85 per cent, manufacturing increased 1.99 per cent, and water supply advanced 3.37 per cent.
Energy prices climbed 6.60 per cent from April, while intermediate goods rose 2.94 per cent. Capital goods increased 1.58 per cent, durable consumer goods gained 1.31 per cent, and non-durable consumer goods were up 1.29 per cent.
Within the textile and apparel value chain, textile producer prices increased 2.99 per cent MoM. Wearing apparel prices rose 0.43 per cent, while leather and related products advanced 0.84 per cent. Machinery and equipment prices gained 1.16 per cent and furniture prices increased 0.86 per cent.
Among sectors recording monthly declines, other manufactured goods fell 0.43 per cent. The strongest monthly gains were seen in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, while energy-related industries continued to exert upward pressure on overall producer prices.
