Despite the controversy, Tushar Deshpande once again proved decisive with the ball.Leading the side after Siddhesh Lad left the field with an injured arm, the India pacer dismissed both Divyaansh Sksena and Shivam Dube before finishing with figures of 2/33. His performances throughout the tournament earned him the Purple Cap, having claimed 12 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.6.Speaking after the victory, Deshpande praised the fearless attitude shown by Mumbai’s emerging cricketers.“It shows the depth of Mumbai cricket’s bench strength. Players coming up from the club level have no problem performing in front of a big crowd,” he said.
