'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' box office collection Day 3: Kangana Ranaut starrer sees good growth but trails behind 'Haunted 3D' and 'Main Vaapas Aaunga'

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut‘s latest film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ registered good growth at the box office on its third day. However, the film’s collections weren’t enough to push it past its competitors, thus making it the lowest-performing major release this weekend.According to early estimates on Sacnilk, the film collected a net total of Rs 1.80 crore on Day 3 across 1,914 shows nationwide. The figure marks a 24.1 per cent jump from its Day 2 earnings of Rs 1.45 crore and its opening collection of Rs 1 crore. With its latest collections, ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ amassed an estimated total India gross collection of Rs 5.09 crore, while its cumulative India net collection stands at Rs 4.25 crore after three days in theatres.Despite the growth, the film struggled to keep pace with the other new releases at the box office. The biggest winner of the weekend proved to be the horror thriller ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’, which comfortably outperformed the competition. The horror film recorded India gross collections of Rs 11.03 crore and net collections of Rs 9.35 crore across 10,807 shows, more than doubling the earnings of ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ over the same period.Meanwhile, ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, starring filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, also stayed ahead of Kangana’s film. On Day 3, the film earned an estimated Rs 2.50 crore net from 2,155 shows, taking its total India gross collection to Rs 6.60 crore and its net collection to Rs 5.50 crore. The box office performance of ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ is particularly disappointing, given the support it has received from state governments. The film was recently granted tax-free status in Haryana and Delhi. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the tax exemption after attending a special screening of the film on Saturday.Set against the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the film explores themes of courage, compassion, duty and humanity. According to the Chief Minister, the narrative carries a message that resonates strongly with audiences across the country.‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ box office collection Day 3: Kangana Ranaut starrer sees good growth but trails behind ‘Haunted 3D’ and ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut’s latest film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ registered good growth at the box office on its third day.
