India’s green manufacturing push: Solar farms to net zero

In conversations with Shahi Exports and Epic Group, Fibre*Fashion observed that executives are focusing on every step involved in making a garment to meet sustainability requirements, from the usage of electricity to the selection of fabric, which qualifies as a sustainable material.

At Shahi, Anant Ahuja, director ESG & Sustainability said that the company has put up a few large solar plants which meet about ** per cent of the total requirement, but it sees the pathway to get to at least close to *** per cent, which is supported by some of the governmental policies.
