Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship was once among Bollywood’s most-discussed romances, but their Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star Vishwanath Chatterjee has now revealed that he never witnessed any signs of a budding romance between the two while filming the movie. Instead, he recalled being impressed by Katrina’s discipline, fitness, and commitment to her craft.
‘Nothing like that was happening on set’
In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Vishwanath was asked whether he noticed any romance brewing between Ranbir and Katrina during the shooting of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.Dismissing the speculation, he said, “Set pe kuch nahi ho raha tha sir. Rajkumar Santoshi ji bethe hain vahan, unke samne kuch ho sakta hai? Saare vahan par most obedient bacche the. Rajkumar Santoshi sir is the king, sher hain voh. Voh itna aapne kahani aur character main logon ko ghusa ke rakhte the aur itna pamper karke, aisa humne kuch nahi dekha.”According to Vishwanath, director Rajkumar Santoshi maintained a highly disciplined atmosphere on the sets, ensuring that the cast remained deeply focused on their characters and the film.
Vishwanath praises Katrina Kaif’s work ethic
While he did not notice any romance between the actors, Vishwanath was full of praise for Katrina’s professionalism and dedication.Recalling a challenging sequence from the film, he shared, “Hum log naa, sab dost aur Ranbir khudh, Katrina ki dedication aur physical fitness dekhke hairan the. Ek scene tha jismein they had to climb a ladder from a boat and reach the bridge, Katrina ji ekdum jldi chadh gayi.”He further revealed that Katrina worked extensively on her dialogue delivery and consistently impressed the cast and crew with her commitment.“Unhone aapni speech pe bhi bahut mehanat kari. Dedication ke mamle main Katrina ji top number pe thi puri team main. Hum log sab bahut masti kiye,” he added.
