Wesfarmers and SQM have approved expansion of Australia’s Mt Holland lithium project, covering the mine, concentrator and an ore sorting facility.
Covalent Lithium plans to lift nameplate spodumene concentrate capacity from about 380,000 to 760,000 tonnes a year.
Construction of the second concentrator is expected in the second half of 2027, with first expansion output in the first half of 2030.
