India all-rounder Axar Patel etched his name into the record books during the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, becoming the first Indian spinner to claim 100 wickets in T20I cricket. The milestone came with the prized wicket of England captain Harry Brook, who was threatening to take the game away from India with a blistering innings.Brook attempted to sweep a delivery drifting down the leg side, but wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan immediately appealed for a faint edge. India opted for the DRS, and UltraEdge confirmed a glove on the ball before it safely nestled in Kishan’s gloves, bringing an end to Brook’s entertaining knock of 39 off just 15 balls, which included four fours and three sixes. With that dismissal, Axar reached the landmark of 100 T20I wickets, becoming the first Indian spinner to achieve the feat in the format.
