Bank of India Credit Officer recruitment 2026: Check eligibility, vacancies and application details

BOI Credit Officer Notification 2026: Bank of India has announced 779 vacancies for the post of Credit Officer across various scales in the General Banking Officer (GBO) stream. A short notification has been released, while the detailed recruitment notification and online application forms will be made available on the bank’s official website from June 30. The online registration process will also begin on the same day.The recruitment drive is intended for experienced credit professionals. According to the short notification released on June 28, eligible graduate candidates will be able to apply for the advertised posts after the detailed notification is published. The complete notification will include post-wise eligibility conditions and other recruitment guidelines.Recruitment details and selection processThe recruitment is being conducted for Credit Officer positions in MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV grades. The selection process will comprise an online examination and/or an interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.The online examination will consist of 150 questions carrying 150 marks. A penalty of one-fourth of a mark will apply for every incorrect response. The salary for selected candidates will range from Rs. 64,820 to Rs. 1,02,300.Eligibility and age criteriaFor MMGS-II and MMGS-III posts, candidates must hold a graduation degree with at least 60 per cent marks, or 55 per cent for SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates, from a recognised university or institute. Candidates with CA, CFA, CMA-ICWA, MBA, PGDBM or a two-year postgraduate qualification in Banking, Finance or a credit-related discipline are also eligible.For SMGS-IV posts, candidates must possess graduation with the prescribed marks along with an MBA, PGDBM, a two-year full-time master’s degree in any discipline, or CA, CFA or CMA-ICWA qualifications from a recognised institution.The prescribed age limit is 25 to 35 years for MMGS-II, 28 to 38 years for MMGS-III, and 30 to 40 years for SMGS-IV.Application fee and registrationThe online application window will open on June 30. The last date to apply, fee payment schedule and final date for printing the application form will be announced in the detailed notification.Candidates belonging to the General and other categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 850, including intimation charges. Applicants from SC, ST and PWD categories are required to pay Rs. 175 towards intimation charges only. The category-wise vacancy distribution and project number will be notified in the detailed recruitment notice.
