Gurugram: As healthcare providers increasingly seek to connect fragmented patient records across hospitals, clinics, and home care, Bajaj Integrated Health System (BIHS) will deploy Philips’ IntelliBridge Enterprise (IBE) platform to enable seamless data exchange and support more coordinated care delivery.

The enterprise interoperability platform acts as a bridge between medical devices and hospital information systems, consolidating clinical data generated at different points of care and making it available to healthcare providers. The objective is to reduce information gaps, minimise repetitive processes, and support more coordinated clinical decision-making.

For patients, such integration could mean fewer repeated tests, smoother referrals between healthcare facilities, and improved continuity of care as they move through different stages of diagnosis and treatment.

The first BIHS network is expected to become operational in 2026, with further expansion planned across major Indian cities.

According to the companies, the deployment will mark the first global implementation of Philips’ IntelliBridge Enterprise (IBE) 3.0 Enterprise Cloud. The platform is designed to facilitate interoperability by connecting disparate healthcare systems and enabling secure exchange of patient data.

Bharath Sesha, Managing Director, Philips Indian Subcontinent, informed the platform is intended to improve information flow across the care continuum and support clinicians with timely access to patient data for decision-making.

Nirav Bajaj, Chief Executive and Managing Director, Bajaj Integrated Health System, said, “The collaboration is aimed at building an integrated healthcare network where patients can experience connected care regardless of whether they access services through a clinic, hospital, or home-based setting.”

As healthcare providers increasingly invest in digital infrastructure, interoperability platforms such as IBE are expected to play a larger role in enabling coordinated care, reducing administrative inefficiencies, and improving the overall patient experience.
