The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has warned candidates about a fake notice related to its recruitment examinations that is being circulated on social media. The commission said the notice is misleading and has not been issued by BPSC.In a post shared on its official X account, the commission asked candidates not to believe or share such fake notifications. It also advised aspirants to check only the official website and verified social media handles for any updates related to examinations.

Fake notice contains incorrect exam information

According to BPSC, the fake notice includes incorrect details about the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Preliminary Examination and other examinations proposed for 2026.The commission has clarified that it has not issued any such notification. Candidates have been advised to ignore messages or posts shared by unauthorised sources and rely only on official announcements.

72nd CCE prelims exam was postponed

The 72nd CCE Preliminary Examination was earlier scheduled to be held on July 26, 2026. However, BPSC postponed the examination due to unavoidable reasons through an official notice issued by the Examination Controller on July 18, 2026.The commission has not yet announced the revised examination date.

Recruitment details

BPSC had released the notification for the 72nd CCE Preliminary Examination on May 6, 2026, announcing 1,230 vacancies.The online application process began on May 7 and ended on May 31, 2026.The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Preliminary examination
  2. Main (descriptive) examination
  3. Personality test or interview

Many aspirants have asked the commission about the revised examination date and the delay in the recruitment process. However, BPSC has not made any fresh announcement regarding the postponed examination.Candidates who have registered for the 72nd CCE are advised to regularly check the official BPSC website and its verified social media accounts for the latest updates. The commission has urged aspirants not to trust exam-related information shared by fake or unauthorised handles.
