DU admissions 2026: Registration opens for 1-year PG, MSc courses; UG preference filling ends July 11

The University of Delhi (DU) has started the registration process for one-year postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026 academic session. The university has also opened applications for Master of Science (MSc) programmes for candidates who have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2026.Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official DU PG admission portal till July 11, 2026.Students who have qualified GAT-B 2026 can apply for the two-year MSc in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for the academic session 2026-29.

Who can apply?

The one-year postgraduate programme is available only for students who have completed a four-year undergraduate (UG) degree from the University of Delhi under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, which is based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.To complete the application process, candidates will have to enter their University of Delhi (UoD) enrolment number and date of birth.According to the university, admission to the one-year PG courses will be based on the merit scores obtained in the four-year bachelor’s degree, subject to the course-specific eligibility conditions mentioned in the admission bulletin.

DU PG two-year admission

Delhi University has received 9,500 applications for its two-year postgraduate programmes so far.The mid-entry facility for these courses will remain open till July 5, 2026.The university will publish the Round 3 seat allotment list on July 9, 2026. Seat allotments for performance-based courses, including Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Master of Physical Education (MPEd) and Music programmes, will also be announced on the same day.

Delhi University has also shared the latest updates on undergraduate admissions.According to the university, it has received 1,48,407 applications for DU Undergraduate (UG) Admission 2026, while 62,524 candidates have completed the Phase 2 application process.The last date to fill course and college preferences is July 11, 2026.The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG 2026 first allocation list will be released on July 16 at 5 pm.This year, Delhi University is offering admission to 73 undergraduate courses and 150 Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme combinations.Delhi University has also released the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Admission 2026 allotment list. Candidates who have been allotted seats must accept them by July 8, 2026.The application process for the five-year integrated law programme will close on July 7, 2026.The university has also informed students through its official X (formerly Twitter) account that Phase 2 programme selection will begin after the declaration of the Semester 8 results. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official DU website for the latest admission schedule and further updates.
