Germany’s Adidas & Real Madrid continue partnership for 8 more years

Adidas and Real Madrid C.F. announced an 8-year extension to football’s most successful partnership, delivering unparalleled European, international and domestic success.

First formalised in 1980 and then re-established after a short break from the 1998/1999 season, the adidas and Real Madrid partnership has seen the club become the most successful on the European stage, delivering eight UEFA MEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE trophies in this period while wearing the Three Stripes.

With over 35 years of partnership – the collaboration has been defined by designs that honour Real Madrid’s storied history, culture and fanbase. From best-in-class technical performance wear that has supported athletes like Zinedine Zidane, Toni Kroos, David Beckham and Jude Bellingham on the field of play, to culture-wear that enables fans to carry their support through all parts of life, the partnership has created some of the game’s most famous sportswear.

Adidas and football club Real Madrid have extended their partnership for eight more years, reinforcing one of football’s longest-running commercial alliances.
The collaboration spans the men’s, women’s, academy, Genuine, and basketball teams.
Backed by decades of sporting success, the renewed deal aims to strengthen performance innovation, merchandising growth, and global fan engagement.

Among the most celebrated designs are the 2011/2012 gold-trimmed home kit, which mirrored the club’s royal status during a record-breaking LaLiga season, and the legendary 2001/2002 Centenary home kit – an ultra-clean, all-white masterpiece immortalised by Zinedine Zidane’s UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE final winning goal.

The new agreement follows shortly after the release of the new Real Madrid Home jersey, a design that brings the finer details of the club’s crest to the fore with deep green and bold pink details.

The agreement also includes the Academy and Genuine teams, the rapidly-rising Real Madrid women’s team and the Real Madrid Basketball team, Europe’s most successful Basketball franchise.

Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, stated: “This agreement that we are signing today is the most important in the history of football. The strategic alliance between Real Madrid and adidas has helped us, over these three decades, to experience one of the most wonderful periods in our history. It has also enabled us to continue nurturing this universal feeling known as madridismo.”

adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden said: “This is one of the longest and most successful partnerships in sport. Real Madrid is a very special club with an exceptional history. I am extremely proud that the Three Stripes will continue to be part of this extraordinary success story. We look forward to continuing to provide the best products for the team to help them perform at the highest level. For their huge fanbase around the world we will create exciting lifestyle product to allow them to show their passion and support for the club – both in the stadiums and on the streets.
