Germany-based Röhm has achieved full industrial-scale operation of its proprietary LiMA technology at its Bay City, Texas MMA plant.
The facility, North America’s first C2-based MMA production plant, has an annual capacity of 250,000 tonnes.
LiMA technology cuts energy and water use while reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 42 per cent compared with conventional MMA production methods.
