'I was a two-time NEET aspirant': Old video of fake Army Brigadier Aryan Verma motivating UPSC aspirants resurfaces— watch

An old video of Aryan Verma, the man arrested for allegedly posing as an Indian Army Brigadier, has resurfaced on social media. In the clip, Verma is seen addressing a gathering of UPSC aspirants while being accompanied by armed security personnel, who pose at the beginning of the video.During his speech, Verma talks about the importance of interacting with people outside one’s family. “I believe that interaction between parents and outsiders is very important. It is important for your mind to be updated. Only when your mind is updated, you will be able to talk to your parents,” he says.He also shares how his career ambitions changed during his school years. According to Verma, he had always planned to pursue medicine and become a doctor. However, after attending a public event where a senior official delivered a long speech, he decided to aim for the UPSC instead.“I wanted to do UPSC. I had a medical field set since childhood. That day, I changed my mind at night. I didn’t want to become a doctor. I wanted a gunman. I wanted a car. This is better than a doctor,” he says in the video.Verma also claims that he was a two-time NEET aspirant and encourages students to work towards achieving similar success. The video has gained attention after his recent arrest in Uttar Pradesh. The resurfaced clip comes days after Verma was detained in Shahjahanpur for allegedly impersonating a Brigadier in the Indian Army. According to investigators, the 21-year-old travelled in an SUV fitted with military insignia and arrived at public events dressed in Army uniform while claiming to be a senior officer.Army authorities and ex-servicemen had reportedly monitored his activities for nearly two months before laying a trap at an event organised at the Shaheed Museum. Verma was detained along with his associates after arriving at the venue.Officials said they recovered a fake Brigadier identity card, an air pistol, an AMC regimental cane and other items resembling official military equipment. Two men dressed in black were also detained for allegedly posing as National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, while the group’s driver was found carrying a Government of India identity card.
