'I will keep fighting': Vinicius Jr breaks silence after Brazil's shock World Cup exit

Brazil star Vinicius Jr has broken his silence following the heartbreaking exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, sharing an emotional message with supporters after their Round of 16 defeat to Norway. The five-time world champions saw their World Cup campaign come to an end after a narrow 2-1 loss to Norway, leaving Vinicius devastated as Brazil once again fell short of their quest to reclaim football’s biggest prize.Taking to Instagram a few days after the defeat, the Real Madrid forward thanked fans for their unwavering support and admitted the disappointment of another early World Cup exit was difficult to put into words.“Almost four years later, and once again I’m thinking about what to write after the disappointment of a World Cup. I saw so many people of all ages supporting us and embracing our dream that it would be unfair to remain silent. But I needed a few days to reflect.Wearing the national team jersey is the greatest honor of my life, and being eliminated in the Round of 16 is a feeling that’s difficult to put into words. I know how hard I prepared, how focused I was, and how much I wanted this, not only for myself, but for you and for my family. The feeling of frustration is overwhelming. We had a squad strong enough to go much further, but we couldn’t make it happen.I apologize, and I will keep fighting for our dream of returning to the top of world football,” Vinicius wrote on Instagram.
