This resulted in flooded roads and disruptions in train services. As per officials, parts of the city received over 200 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8 AM. Commuters face delays on major roads while civic agencies are continuously working to clear flooded stretches.For explorers in the city, this means airport transfers and sightseeing schedules may take considerably longer than expected. Be prepared for traffic jams and road disruptions and plan accordingly.Government urges cautionA few days back, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had expressed concerns over Mumbai’s no rain conditions. As per reports, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (also officially known as the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai) body has deployed over 7,000 staff across the city to manage the situation and respond to rain-related issues.
