Italy’s MAIRE secures €1.3 bn fertiliser project in Argentina
MAIRE’s Tecnimont has won a contract from Fértil Pampa for an Argentina fertiliser complex with ammonia and two ultra-low energy urea trains.
The Bahía Blanca plant will produce 6,000 metric tonnes of urea a day, aided by gas, power, water and deep-water port links.
Nextchem, KBR, KT Tech and SACDE are involved; completion is expected in 41 months, with over 3,500 direct jobs at peak construction.
