Asahi Kasei has built a new SUNFORT dry film photoresist slitting facility at its Tainan, Taiwan manufacturing site, with commercial operations due this month.
The ¥2 billion (~$12 million) investment will lift capacity by 40 per cent and could double current output.
The company links the move to AI-led demand for advanced semiconductor packaging and tighter supply-reliability needs.
