Morocco’s apparel exports fall 8% in Q1 2026; Spain remains top market

According to sourcing intelligence tool TexPro, Spain remained Morocco**;s largest export destination, accounting for $***.** million worth of apparel shipments during January-March and representing **.** per cent of total exports. Although Spain**;s share eased slightly from **.** per cent in the corresponding period of ****, the market continued to dominate Morocco**;s apparel trade.

France retained its position as the second-largest destination with imports valued at $***.** million, accounting for **.** per cent of total exports. Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy followed, with shares of *.** per cent, *.** per cent and *.** per cent, respectively.

The five leading markets together absorbed nearly ** per cent of Morocco**;s apparel exports during the quarter, underlining the country**;s heavy dependence on European demand.

Among product categories, suits were the largest export segment, generating $***.** million and accounting for **.** per cent of total shipments. Shirts followed with exports worth $***.** million, while dresses contributed $***.** million. Trousers and shorts accounted for $***.** million, and T-shirts generated $**.** million, as per TexPro.
