A video has taken over the internet by storm! Imagine boarding an overnight train expecting the familiar sights of neatly folded blankets, and the sound of wheels and people chatting, only to walk into what looks like the set of a luxury hotel’s honeymoon suite. Red roses, balloons and candles, blanket on the berth covered in red petals and a big “I Love You”. No, this wasn’t a set from a movie shoot. We are talking about a real First AC cabin on an Indian Railways train which was decorated like a honeymoon room. The internet is shocked, more surprised, equally amused, and divided. Some called it the “most romantic train journey ever”, while others questioned “can you really do that”?A honeymoon… on rails and the viral videoThe viral video shows a First AC cabin of the Nandedgram Express (110002) completely transformed into a romantic space. Thousands of rose petals cover the beds, balloons in shades of red and white hang from the ceiling, floral decorations adorn every corner, and a large “I Love You”!A surprise As per several media reports, it was a surprise planned by a Maharashtra-based event firm. The company had booked the First AC cabin for a newly married couple from Jalna. While the couple travelled by road to the station, decorators did their job and turned the compartment into a honeymoon suite. For a few moments, the train looked less like a railway coach and more like a luxury property, just on rails! Now it’s hard for the Internet to digest this whole scenario: Romantic or ridiculous?Social media for sure had plenty to say. While many loved the creativity, others weren’t too convinced. Critics raised concerns about safety and whether railway property should be altered for personal celebrations. The conversation quickly shifted from “Wouldn’t this be fun?” to “Should this even be allowed?”Many people on social media jokinged and called it “Suhagraat Express” or “Honeymoon on Wheels.” Railways responds swiftly
Indian Railways got into action as soon as the video surfaced. An investigation was launched and according to the Indian Railways, the decorator entered the coach without permission. It was a violation of the rules. Meanwhile, the chief ticket inspector on duty at the time has been suspended. It’s an important reminder that permissions are needed for such kinds of special arrangements, be it birthday celebrations or a honeymoon suite on wheels.
