SONGWON has received RSPO MB Grade certification for SONGNOX 1076 phenolic antioxidant, its first RSPO-certified product option.
Trial quantities are expected from April 2026, with market launch planned for the second half.
The option supports polymer additive buyers on responsible sourcing and future EU deforestation regulation needs.
With the launch of its first product meeting RSPO requirements, SONGWON positions itself as an early mover in providing RSPO solutions for the polymer additives market. SONGNOX 1076 already features one of the lowest carbon footprints in its class and the availability of this RSPO-certified option represents an important further step toward more sustainable sourcing. For customers, it represents a tangible contribution to avoiding deforestation, progress toward more sustainable sourcing and helps to meet upcoming regulatory requirements, including future EU deforestation regulations.
“We are proud to provide a product that helps customers meet evolving sustainability and regulatory expectations without compromising performance,” said Hyeokkoo Lee, Global Product Manager Main Antioxidants. “Our focus is on converting responsible sourcing commitments into practical actions that generate strong performance and measurable impact.”
RSPO is a globally recognized, multi-stakeholder organization that promotes the growth and use of sustainable palm oil by developing and implementing credible global standards. This initiative forms part of SONGWON’s broader commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable product development.
