Industrial activity expanded by 7.2 per cent YoY during Q1 2026 compared to a growth of 9.8 per cent reported in Q1 2025, an official release said.
Sri Lanka’s GDP at constant prices for Q1 2026 increased by 5.1 per cent YoY to SLR 3,652.503 billion (~$10.96 billion).

The country’s Q1 2026 GDP at current prices increased by 11 per cent YoY to SLR 9,164.652 billion. The industry’s share in the GDP during the quarter was 27.2 per cent.
