SWAYAM January 2026 exam advance city intimation slip out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the advance city intimation slip for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) January 2026 semester examinations. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download the city slip from the official website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam.To access the advance city intimation slip, candidates will need to log in using their application number and password.The agency has clarified that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. It has been issued only to inform candidates about the city where their examination centre will be located so that they can plan their travel and stay arrangements in advance. The admit card will be released separately before the examination.

SWAYAM January 2026 exam dates

The SWAYAM January 2026 semester examinations will be conducted on June 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2026, at examination centres across the country.This session will cover around 900 SWAYAM courses offered through the online learning platform.

How to download SWAYAM January 2026 advance city intimation slip

Candidates can follow the steps below to download the city slip:

  • Visit the official SWAYAM examination website at exams.nta.nic.in/swayam.
  • Click on the “Advance City Intimation for SWAYAM-16 (January 2026 Semester) Exam” link on the homepage.
  • Enter your application number and password.
  • Submit the details to log in.
  • Download the advance city intimation slip.
  • Take a printout and keep it for future reference.

SWAYAM January 2026 exam pattern

The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and Hybrid mode (CBT plus Pen-and-Paper mode), depending on the course.Each paper will have a duration of three hours. The question paper will generally be available in English, except for language-specific courses.For most courses, the examination will carry a total of 100 marks. The question pattern may vary from one course to another. Some papers will have 100 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each, while others will include 50 multiple-choice questions carrying two marks each.For certain courses conducted in hybrid mode, the paper may contain a combination of multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions and long-answer questions.
