Turkiye’s economic confidence index rose 1.8 per cent month on month to 98.9 in June 2026 from 97.2 in May, reflecting broad-based gains across consumer, manufacturing, services and retail trade.
The index remained below the 100-point mark, indicating that overall confidence in the economy continued to reflect a cautious rather than optimistic outlook.
Retail trade confidence edged up 0.3 per cent to 112.8, and construction confidence improved 1.1 per cent to 83.0 compared with the previous month. The confidence indices are seasonally adjusted, except for the consumer confidence index.
An economic confidence index above 100 reflects optimism about the general economic situation, while a reading below 100 indicates a pessimistic outlook.
