NEW DELHI: Two students from Greenwood High International School have secured a perfect score of 45 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations held in May 2026, placing them among the world toppers, according to results announced by the school.The two students, Amisha Sharma and Varun Vasudevan Iyer, achieved the maximum possible score of 45 points in the globally recognised diploma programme.Amisha Sharma, the outgoing school captain, is set to pursue Public Policy and Data Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, while Varun Vasudevan Iyer, the outgoing vice captain, will study Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley.Three other students — Anvita Reddy Guddeti, Nidhi Mittal and Sanay Sridhar — scored 44 points, while seven students secured 43 points. They are Aahana Jain, Aryan Dhir, Inesh Dora Kanati, Nakshatra Ganesh, Sahana Arun Kuttuva, Sritanvi Karthik and Vipran Vasan.According to the school, 36% of its IBDP Class of 2026 scored 40 points or above.The school also stated that members of the graduating batch have received offers from universities including Dartmouth College, Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of California, Berkeley, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Southern California, the University of California, Los Angeles, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Imperial College London, Bocconi University, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the University of Hong Kong, LaSalle College and the National Institute of Design.The institution said students have collectively been awarded scholarships exceeding USD 8 million, recognising academic achievement, leadership, creativity and service.Reacting to her result, Amisha Sharma credited her family, teachers and school community for supporting her through the two-year IB programme.Varun Vasudevan Iyer said his preparation focused on strengthening conceptual understanding, refining assessments and analysing performance after each attempt to address weaknesses.Commenting on the results, Niru Agarwal, Vice Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Greenwood High International School, said the performance reflected the school’s academic framework, faculty mentorship and the students’ sustained effort throughout the diploma programme.The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a two-year pre-university qualification offered to students aged 16 to 19 and is recognised by higher education institutions across the world. The maximum achievable score in the programme is 45 points.
