UPSC CDS 2, NDA 2 registration 2026

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration process for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination 2 and National Defence Academy (NDA) Examination 2, 2026 today, June 9. Candidates who have not yet applied can submit their application forms through the official UPSC website before the deadline.The commission began the application process on May 20, 2026. Eligible candidates aspiring to join the Indian Armed Forces are advised to complete their registrations at the earliest to avoid last-minute technical issues.According to the official schedule, the UPSC CDS 2 and NDA 2 examinations will be conducted on September 13, 2026.

UPSC CDS 2, NDA 2 2026: How to apply

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the application process:

  • Visit the official UPSC website.
  • Click on the UPSC CDS 2 2026 or UPSC NDA 2 2026 application link.
  • Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process if not already registered.
  • Log in using the required credentials.
  • Fill in personal, educational and communication details carefully.
  • Upload the required documents, including photograph, signature and identity proof.
  • Pay the application fee through the available online payment modes.
  • Review the details and submit the application form.
  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates should carefully check the eligibility requirements mentioned in the official notification before applying.For CDS 2, applicants generally need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. However, some courses, especially those related to the Navy and Air Force, may require candidates to possess technical or engineering qualifications.For NDA 2, candidates who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 examinations are eligible to apply, subject to other conditions specified by UPSC.Here are the important links for the exam:
