UPTET 2026 scorecard update: Nearly 17.7 lakh candidates await results after July exam

UPTET 2026 result: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is expected to announce the UPTET 2026 result soon for candidates who appeared in the Teacher Eligibility Test held from July 2 to July 4. Once declared, candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official website using their login credentials.Nearly 17.7 lakh candidates are awaiting the results after the examination recorded an overall attendance of 88.77 per cent. Official data shows that 19,94,661 candidates had registered for the test, while 17,70,714 appeared. The primary-level paper recorded higher attendance than the upper primary paper, and AI-based surveillance detected 44 impersonation cases during the examination.UPTET 2026 examination at a glance

Historical pass percentages show fluctuating trendsWhile the official pass percentage for UPTET 2026 will be known only after the results are declared, previous examination cycles indicate that qualification rates have varied considerably.The primary paper recorded a pass percentage of 35 per cent in 2018, which dipped to 29.74 per cent in 2019 before rising to 38.67 per cent in the 2021–22 cycle. For the upper primary paper, the pass percentage fell from 33.12 per cent in 2018 to 11.46 per cent in 2019, before recovering to 28.33 per cent in 2021–22.Based on these trends, some experts estimate that the 2026 pass percentage could range between 34 and 39 per cent for the primary level and 25 to 30 per cent for the upper primary level. However, these estimates are unofficial and the final figures will be confirmed by UPESSC along with the result.
