US’ Kemira acquires ANMAC to expand water treatment services

Kemira, a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, has completed the acquisition of the business and related assets of ANMAC Water Treatment Service, Inc., a privately-owned company based in California, USA. The transaction strengthens Kemira’s position in North America and supports its growth in industrial water treatment services – a sector growing faster than traditional water treatment markets.The transaction includes ANMAC Water Treatment Service, Inc.’s operations, customer contracts and related assets. The company provides water treatment solutions for preventive pinhole corrosion protection to larger residential and commercial buildings such as large multi-unit apartments, senior living buildings, hospitals, larger office buildings and hotels. The business generated revenue approximately USD 8.5 million in 2025 and employs 19 people. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Kemira has completed the acquisition of ANMAC Water Treatment Service’s business and related assets in California, US.
The deal adds operations, customer contracts and assets, supporting Kemira’s North American industrial water treatment services growth.
ANMAC generated about $8.5 million in 2025 revenue and employs 19 people; price is undisclosed.

“This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver more value to customers by combining ANMAC Water Treatment Service, Inc.’s service expertise with Kemira’s chemical applications,” said Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, EVP, Water Solutions. “It’s the third acquisition since our purchase of Water Engineering, Inc., which has provided us with a solid platform for organic and inorganic growth in industrial water treatment services in North America.”

The acquired business will be integrated into Kemira’s Water Solutions business unit and operations will continue from the current location.
