Uzbekistan textile output up 15.4% YoY in Jan-May 2026

Large Uzbek enterprises produced textile goods worth 43.4 trillion soums ($3.58 billion) in the first five months this year 2026—a 15.4-per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise, according to the National Statistics Committee.Ferghana region recorded the highest textile output during the five-month period, producing goods worth 5.4 trillion soums (~$446 million).

It was followed by Andijan region with 4.3 trillion soums (~$355.2 million).

It was followed by Andijan region with 4.3 trillion soums (~$355.2 million), Kashkadarya region with 4.2 trillion soums (~$347 million), Khorezm region with 3.9 trillion soums (~$ 322.15 million)and Bukhara region with 3.7 trillion soums (~$ 305.63 million).

Textile production totaled 3.6 trillion soums in Namangan region, 3.4 trillion soums in Samarkand region and 2.9 trillion soums in Surkhandarya region. Output reached 2.8 trillion soums in the city of Tashkent and 2.6 trillion soums in Tashkent region.

The republic of Karakalpakstan and Jizzakh region each produced textile goods worth 2.2 trillion soums.

Output amounted to 1.2 trillion soums in Syrdarya region and 1 trillion soums in Navoi region.
