Australia players recreate Dhoni-Yuvraj’s iconic bike celebration

NEW DELHI: Following Australia’s dominant T20I series win over Bangladesh, Tim David stole the spotlight with an unusual celebration. After the match, the all-rounder rode a bright lime-green bike around the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, with teammate Matt Renshaw sitting behind him. The pair took a victory lap as teammates cheered and fans recorded the moment, making it one of the highlights of the series.Nathan Ellis also joined the celebrations on a motorcycle, with Australia’s bike parade evoking memories of MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh‘s iconic victory lap during their playing days, a moment fondly remembered by cricket fans.Watch:Australia sealed a 3-0 sweep with a seven-wicket win in the third and final T20I. Chasing a modest target of 110, captain Mitchell Marsh smashed 60 off just 28 balls, helping the visitors wrap up the chase in only 11 overs. Josh Inglis chipped in with 17, while Tim David remained unbeaten on 12 and finished the game with two sixes.Australia had already won the first two matches and completed the whitewash with another commanding performance.“Nice to leave this series 3-0,” Marsh said. “I thought we executed well. We were fantastic with the ball today. Had some guys debuting, some coming back after a long time and contributing really well — great team to be around.”Australia’s bowlers also impressed, with Spencer Johnson, Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa picking up two wickets each.Bangladesh captain Towhid Hridoy was the standout performer for the hosts, scoring an unbeaten 61 as his side managed only 109 for eight after opting to bat first. Rishad Hossain was the only other batter to reach double figures with 16.“Wicket was good but we did not play well,” Hridoy said. “We needed partnerships, if we got partnerships, we could have got to 170-180.”Despite the T20I disappointment, Bangladesh had earlier claimed the three-match ODI series 2-1.
