World’s upcoming tallest skyscraper crosses the 100-floor mark: How Jeddah Tower is reshaping Saudi Arabia’s real estate market

In a recent update, Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia has reached another major milestone. For those unaware, Jeddah Tower, when completed, will become the tallest skyscraper on Earth. Though the construction has faced years of delays, the mega project has now crossed the 100-floor mark and is making headlines worldwide. The building is steadily progressing toward its planned height of more than 1,000 metres, beyond Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the current tallest building on the planet. The engineering marvel has captured global attention for all the right reasons and is equally relevant from a real estate perspective. It will serve as a catalyst for premium property development, and investment-led economic growth in the country.US studio Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture has shared some exclusive pictures of Jeddah Tower under construction. Jeddah Tower is also expected to boost the luxury real estate market in the region. The project represents far more than a race for architectural records but more of a space where residents can live, work, shop, and access entertainment without stepping out. One of the biggest attractions within the tower would be luxury residential offerings attracting high-net-worth buyers. It has been noticed that apartments in landmark skyscrapers command significant prices due to their privacy, prestige and panoramic views. If everything goes as expected, the tower could soon set new benchmarks for luxury housing in Saudi Arabia. In addition, the tower is expected to boost commercial real estate by offering premium office spaces in globally recognised towers. Such iconic buildings add to the corporate branding appeal. There are also plans for luxury hotels and observation centers which will place the tower as both a tourism destination and a business travel hub. According to media reports, the construction of the much-awaited building is expected to be completed in 2028. When completed, the tower will also become the world’s first building to reach a kilometre in height, which is another incredible engineering feat.(Source: Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG)
