Zalando and Vestiaire Collective are partnering up to bring Vestiaire Collective’s rigorously verified selection of second-hand luxury fashion directly to millions of Zalando customers. The partnership launches in 14 European markets where Zalando’s Pre-owned category is available. The assortment includes unique luxury items from more than 50 iconic brands, offering a full range of ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags, and accessories. This collaboration gives customers the opportunity to shop designer brands not previously available on Zalando.

This partnership opens the Pre-owned category to Zalando Partner Program for the first time, building on Zalando’s evolution from a retailer to a retail enabler. By providing a full ecosystem for fashion and lifestyle e-commerce across Europe, Zalando unlocks new opportunities for both partners and customers – now in the pre-owned space. This strategic collaboration unites Vestiaire Collective’s unrivalled luxury resale expertise with Zalando’s extensive platform, elevating the second-hand shopping experience for millions of customers.

The partnership directly addresses the exceptional demand for high-quality pre-owned fashion. In 2025, an average of 62 per cent of Zalando’s Pre-owned assortment sold within the first seven days of being listed. Furthermore, Zalando data shows that 40 per cent of customers buying pre-owned fashion also add a new item to their order, proving they value finding everything they need in one place.

Zalando and Vestiaire Collective have partnered to bring authenticated pre-owned luxury fashion to customers across 14 European markets.
The collaboration adds verified designer apparel, footwear, handbags and accessories from over 50 luxury brands to Zalando’s platform, combining Vestiaire’s authentication expertise with Zalando’s convenience and growing demand for circular fashion.

Trust has been at the core of Vestiaire Collective since the company’s inception in 2009. Created to set the highest standards for luxury resale, Vestiaire Collective’s Trust Services have been continuously strengthened over the years, with more than 100 authenticators and 50 quality controllers across the world. All Vestiaire Collective items available on Zalando benefit from this robust verification of authentication process, designed to ensure quality and confidence at every step. Customers still enjoy the convenience they expect from Zalando, including a 30-day return window. To keep that promise of quality, any returned item goes through a physical re-authentication at a Vestiaire Collective facility before going back online.

“We are thrilled to launch this authenticated luxury assortment with Vestiaire Collective as our first Pre-owned partner,” says Alice Marshall, Director Pre-owned at Zalando. “Demand for high-quality pre-owned fashion keeps growing. By adding authenticated luxury to the mix and pairing it with Zalando’s unmatched convenience, we aim to encourage even more customers to explore second-hand shopping.”

“We are excited to partner with Zalando to continue democratising authenticated pre-owned luxury for millions of customers across Europe. This partnership opens the door for a new generation of customers to discover and engage with luxury fashion through pre-owned, meeting them where they already shop. It reflects a shared ambition to make circular luxury more visible, more relevant, and more appealing to a wider and younger audience,” says Thomas Hezard, Chief Product Officer at Vestiaire Collective.

The curated luxury assortment by Vestiaire Collective is available immediately to Zalando customers on a dedicated Vestiaire Collective landing page and in the Pre-owned category in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Sweden.

Zalando continues to expand its Pre-owned range to capture growing demand for high-quality second-hand fashion. Earlier this year, the company added accessories and children’s fashion to the category, allowing parents to shop for and trade in gently worn kids’ clothes.
