5 lesser-known national parks in the U.S that are surprisingly empty and quiet

North Cascades National Park is also known as the American Alps. It is among the least-visited national parks in the U.S despite being home to over 300 glaciers, which is more than any other park outside Alaska in the country.

The park is about a three-hour drive from Seattle. It is home to snow-covered peaks, turquoise glacial lakes and alpine meadows. Some scenic hiking trails here include Diablo Lake, Ross Lake and Cascade Pass.

For wildlife lovers, the place is a paradise. One can spot black bears, mountain goats, bald eagles and marmots. This place is every photographer’s dream and they wait for sunrise and sunset views!

Best time to visit July to September
