China’s manufacturing activity returned to expansion in June as the official PMI rose to 50.3 from 50.0 in May, marking its second highest reading this year.
The non-manufacturing PMI also edged up to 50.2 from 50.1, signaling a modest improvement in overall economic activity.
Both indicators remained above the 50-point threshold, indicating continued expansion.
A PMI reading above 50 indicates expansion in business activity, while a reading below 50 signals contraction.
The official PMI data point to a gradual recovery in China’s economic momentum, with both manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors remaining in expansion territory in June.
