Euro area annual inflation is estimated to have eased to 2.8 per cent in June 2026 from 3.2 per cent in May, according to Eurostat’s flash estimate.
Energy remained the fastest-rising component at 8.7 per cent despite slowing from May, while services inflation eased to 3.2 per cent and non-energy industrial goods held steady at 0.9 per cent.

Non-energy industrial goods is expected to remain stable at 0.9 per cent.
The agency noted that Germany updated its item weights for 2026 in June 2026, which also changed euro area weights. The Netherlands did not provide data by publication time, so its data were estimated only for calculating European aggregates.
