France's TotalEnergies approves Cronos gas project in Cyprus
TotalEnergies and Eni have taken a final investment decision on Cyprus’ Cronos gas field, to be developed through four subsea wells and linked to Egypt for liquefaction.
The route will use the Damietta LNG terminal before exports to Europe, adding a future Mediterranean LNG source for European buyers.
Start-up is expected in 2028, with output plateauing at around 500 million cubic feet per day.
