Key price movement
TexPro recorded an unusually wide regional divergence across the polyester feedstock chain. MEG CFR China closed at $***/mt, up *.** per cent from the previous week. By comparison, MEG CFR Southeast Asia ended at $***/mt, down *.** per cent, despite briefly reaching $***/mt on Thursday. China**;s domestic MEG market also reversed direction during the week, falling to CNY *,***/mt (~$***/mt) on Tuesday before recovering to CNY *,***/mt (~$***/mt) on Friday, representing a *.** per cent weekly increase.
Upstream markets strengthened across most feedstocks. PX CFR Southeast Asia rose *.** per cent to $*,***/mt on Friday, while PX FOB Korea gained *.** per cent. PTA CFR Far East Asia increased *.** per cent, reflecting higher feedstock costs. Brent Dated crude settled at $**.**/bbl after touching $***.**/bbl on Thursday, while WTI advanced *.** per cent over the week.
