The latest revision follows another decline in polyester feedstock prices. Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) has been revised to ****;**.** per kg, while monoethylene glycol (MEG) has fallen sharply to ****;**.** per kg, down ****;**.** per kg from the previous revision. Polyester melt prices have also eased by ****;*.** per kg to ****;**.** per kg, reflecting the continued correction across the polyester value chain.
Polyester oriented yarn (POY) prices have also been reduced by ****;* per kg across all deniers and lustres from July *. Fine-denier POY is now priced at ****;*** per kg, while coarse-denier POY has been revised to ****;*** per kg, extending the benefit of lower feedstock costs to downstream yarn users.
The latest price adjustments follow the easing of crude oil-linked raw materials in recent weeks. Among the key feedstocks, MEG has recorded the steepest decline, while lower PTA and melt prices have further reduced manufacturing costs for polyester producers.
