Jordan invites US apparel firms to explore investment opportunities

Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah recently discussed with American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) representatives strengthening trade cooperation and exploring opportunities to attract new investments to Jordan.The discussions took place in Washington during a session hosted by AAFA, bringing together Jordanian officials, industry representatives, investors and executives from leading US apparel firms.

Highlighting measures to facilitate Jordanian apparel and garment exports to the US market, improve competitiveness and support supply chains, Qudah invited US companies to explore investment opportunities in Jordan, including those available through the free trade agreement between the two sides, Jordanian media outlets reported.

The session included discussions on strengthening compliance with international labour standards, developing responsible supply chains and ensuring that Jordan’s apparel sector continues to meet global market requirements.
