The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 tomorrow, June 21. More than 22 lakh medical aspirants are expected to appear for the examination at centres across India and abroad. With strict security arrangements in place, candidates will have to undergo document verification and dress code checks at the examination centres. To avoid any last-minute issues, students are advised to carefully follow the guidelines issued by the NTA.According to the official schedule, entry to examination centres will begin at 11 am. The gates will close at 1.30 pm, and no candidate will be allowed to enter after that. The examination will start at 2 pm and continue until 5.15 pm, giving candidates a total duration of 195 minutes.This year, candidates will receive four pages in the question booklet for rough work, compared to two pages provided earlier.

Important documents to carry

Candidates must carry the new admit card issued for the re-examination. The previous hall ticket will not be accepted. Students should carry a colour printout of the admit card and paste a postcard-size photograph in the space provided.An original government-issued photo identity card such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport or driving licence is also mandatory. Photocopies or digital copies shown on mobile phones will not be accepted.Candidates should also carry at least two additional passport-size photographs. These photographs must be the same as those uploaded during the application process and may be required for attendance-related formalities.Students registered under the PwD/PwBD category must carry their original disability certificate issued by the competent authority.

Dress code and prohibited items

The NTA has asked candidates to wear light-coloured half-sleeve shirts or T-shirts with simple trousers or pants. Footwear should be limited to slippers or low-heeled sandals.Candidates should avoid full-sleeve clothing, outfits with large buttons or heavy embroidery, shoes, socks and all kinds of jewellery, including rings, chains and earrings.Items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, wallets, belts, papers, notes and food items are strictly prohibited inside the examination centre.Candidates wearing religious attire such as hijab, turban or kirpan have been advised to report early for detailed security checks.
