Spain’s Moeve Chemicals achieves global Low Carbon verification

Moeve Chemicals has completed the verification of its global manufacturing network for the production of Low Carbon products. Following the latest verification milestone at its Brazil and Shanghai facilities, all of the company’s production plants are now enabled to manufacture and supply products within its Low Carbon portfolio, strengthening Moeve Chemicals’ ability to support customers worldwide in their decarbonization journeys.Designed to help customers reduce the carbon footprint of their products while maintaining the same quality, performance and reliability standards associated with conventional alternatives, the Low Carbon portfolio reflects Moeve Chemicals’ commitment to advancing more sustainable chemical solutions and supporting emissions reductions across customers’ value chains.

Moeve Chemicals has verified all global plants to make and supply its Low Carbon portfolio after Brazil and Shanghai milestones.
The range includes NextLab Low Carbon for biodegradable detergents and NextPhenol Low Carbon for phenol derivatives used in resins and adhesives.
AENOR-backed verification aims to give customers traceable, consistent carbon claims for supply-chain decarbonisation.

Among the products included in the portfolio are NextLab Low Carbon, the lower-carbon version of linear alkylbenzene (LAB), a key raw material used in the production of biodegradable detergents, and NextPhenol Low Carbon, a lower-carbon alternative for phenol and its derivatives, widely used in applications ranging from resins and adhesives to automotive and construction materials. The global availability of these solutions enables customers across diverse industries to advance their decarbonization objectives without compromising product performance or quality.

The verification process, carried out by AENOR (the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification), is supported by Moeve Chemicals’ proprietary in-house verification system. This system was developed to ensure transparency, traceability and consistency in the allocation and management of renewable energy attributes used across its operations. This approach provides customers with confidence in the environmental claims associated with Low Carbon products.

“Reaching full verification across our global manufacturing network is a major milestone for Moeve Chemicals,” said Alfredo López Carretero, Global Head of Safety, Energy & Sustainability at Moeve Chemicals. “It demonstrates our ability to offer Low Carbon solutions consistently across all our production sites and allows us to support customers around the world with verified, traceable products that contribute to their decarbonization goals.”

The completion of this process further strengthens Moeve Chemicals’ position as a leading global supplier of chemical products and represents another step forward in delivering innovative solutions that help customers advance their sustainability objectives while maintaining the highest standards of performance and quality.
