TEXPROCIL and PDEXCIL organised an FTA Outreach Programme in Ahmedabad to help textile exporters maximise opportunities under India’s trade agreements.
Officials highlighted the country’s $100 billion textile trade target by 2030, while experts explained FTA benefits, Rules of Origin and export procedures.
The programme concluded with an interactive session addressing exporters’ queries.

He also guided participants on customs procedures, the Foreign Trade Policy, GST compliance and export documentation required to maximise FTA benefits.
The technical sessions covered key aspects of international trade, including FTA applicability, Harmonised System (HS) code classification, Rules of Origin, preferential certificates of origin and sustainability compliance, which are becoming increasingly important for global market access.
TEXPROCIL also presented its Advanced Certificate Programme in International Trade (ACPIT), developed in collaboration with Exim Institute, to strengthen exporters’ practical knowledge of international trade, documentation, compliance and market development.
The programme concluded with an interactive session where exporters sought clarifications on documentation, certification, market access and strategies for leveraging India’s growing network of Free Trade Agreements. TEXPROCIL said that the initiative was aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Indian textile exporters and supporting their expansion in international markets.
