Turkiye’s May industrial output unchanged; manufacturing up

Türkiye’s industrial production remained unchanged year on year in May 2026, as modest gains in manufacturing and utilities offset a decline in mining and quarrying, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK).Manufacturing output rose 0.3 per cent, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased 1.0 per cent, while mining and quarrying fell 5.0 per cent.

On a monthly basis, industrial production declined 2.9 per cent in May. Manufacturing output dropped 3.3 per cent and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply fell 0.9 per cent, while mining and quarrying increased 1.5 per cent.
