UPPSC has published the GIC Lecturer Preliminary Result 2026 for all 13 subjects, enabling candidates to check their qualifying status through subject-wise PDFs. Those who cleared the preliminary stage will move on to the Main examination. The Commission is expected to issue a separate notification detailing the Main exam timetable and application process.

UPPSC GIC Lecturer result 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the UP GIC Lecturer result 2026 for all 13 subjects on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the preliminary recruitment examination can now check their qualifying status through the subject-wise result PDFs released by the Commission.The results determine the list of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process, the Main examination. The Commission has also clarified that a separate notification regarding the Main examination schedule and the online application process for qualified candidates will be issued later.

Subject-wise result PDFs available online

UPPSC has released separate result PDFs covering all 13 subjects included in the Government Inter College (GIC) Lecturer recruitment drive. The subjects include Sociology, Geography, Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Civics, History, Biology, Urdu and Sanskrit.Candidates can download the respective PDF from the Commission’s official website and search for their roll numbers to confirm whether they have qualified for the Main examination.The Commission has also released participation and qualification statistics for several subjects.For Sociology, a total of 31,116 candidates registered, while 9,430 appeared for the preliminary examination. Out of those who took the test, 806 candidates have been declared qualified for the Main examination.In Geography, 23,951 candidates registered and 11,378 appeared in the examination. Based on their performance in the preliminary stage, 1,927 candidates have secured eligibility for the Main examination.The Commission noted that candidates who failed to secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks have not been included in the list of successful candidates.
