In contrast, China**;s Modal *.*D remained unchanged at CNY **,***/mt (~$*,***/mt), while India**;s Modal *.*D held steady at ****;***/kg (~$*.**/kg).

The Pakistani rupee strengthened to a **-month high near PKR *** (~$*) per US dollar, eliminating currency depreciation as the driver. The increase was instead the result of higher domestic production costs, led by energy prices and imported raw-material inflation.
