World’s largest global textile expo Bharat Tex 2026 to begin tomorrow

Bharat Tex 2026 is set to open at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on July 14, bringing India’s textile value chain onto a single global platform for sourcing, investment, innovation and trade partnerships. The event will run until July 17 and will cover fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel and fashion, home textiles, technical textiles and ancillary industries.The event is being organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies, with support from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh is scheduled to inaugurate the event on July 14, with Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita and textiles secretary Neelam Shami Rao also expected to attend.

The third edition expects participation from over 7,000 buyers, more than 1,600 exhibitors, 130,000 trade visitors and over 20,000 textile products across 1.6 million square feet of exhibition space. International exhibitors from 14 countries, including the US, United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa and Nepal, are also set to participate, alongside institutional representation from the United Nations and the European Union.

India’s Bharat Tex 2026 will open in New Delhi on July 14, bringing fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel, home and technical textiles onto one platform.
Organisers expect over 7,000 buyers, 1,600 exhibitors and 130,000 trade visitors across 1.6 million square feet.
B2B meetings, state investor sessions and expected MoUs put sourcing and investment outcomes at the centre.

Bhadresh Dodhia, co-chairman, Bharat Tex Trade Federation said, “With over 4,000 B2B meetings and more than 30 MoUs expected to be signed over the next four days, this edition is designed to convert conversations into commerce and opportunities into enduring partnerships.”

The platform is also expected to facilitate over 100 business-to-government meetings, according to a Ministry of Textiles release.

Government and state participation is a key part of the programme, with Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu named as sponsor states. Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal are participating as exhibitors.

Dedicated investor connect sessions will allow states to present investment opportunities, industrial infrastructure, PM MITRA linkages and policy support, giving manufacturers, exporters and sourcing teams a closer view of capacity and partnership options across India’s textile ecosystem.
