European Investment Bank has granted OMV a EUR 450 million loan for a 140 MW green hydrogen plant in Lower Austria.
The EUR 600 million facility is due to start by end-2027 and produce up to 23,000 tons of green hydrogen annually.
OMV links the project to lower-emission fuels and chemical products, a signal for manufacturers tracking sustainable energy and feedstock supply.
